My first ever yoga session was with in April when my friend Kelleen said I should come with her to Hot Yoga. After the first session I fell in love with Hot Yoga and now I go as often as my schedule allow. The benefints has been phenominal to me. I have had so many aha moments on the mat that I think I should write a book one day lol. I will share one moment with you: one day I was looking at myself in the mirror and thinking how terribly unflexible I am. In that moment I experienced a deep compassion for the person in the mirror and I realized that it will take time to restore this body to become more healthy and flexable. I also realized in that same moment that patience and showing up will be the two biggest factors in this restoration process. And the last thing i realized in that moment was that weightloss has to happen in the same way: keep showing up (doing the work) and be patient. Since April when I first started with Hot Yoga, i have lost 19 pounds. To say I love this practice is an understatement. I would recommend everyone try it! It’s always beneficial for my body and my mind when ever I go. The instructors are excellent, it does not matter to me who teaches the class and the benefits when you keep showing up is way more than the sum of the postures, the heat and the sweat. I love these girls.
